finger lakes

The Finger Lakes region feels both familiar and surprising at the same time—

quiet lake towns, winding roads through rolling hills, and more waterfalls than you expect tucked into narrow gorges. Mornings might mean mist over still water; afternoons might be spent walking through vineyards or under the stone bridges of Watkins Glen State Park. It’s a place where small details—wet rock, autumn leaves, soft light on the lake—do most of the talking.

This gallery is a collection of my Finger Lakes photography: the layered rock walls and waterfalls of Watkins Glen and other nearby gorges, calm shoreline scenes, vineyard rows running down toward the water, and everyday moments in and around Ithaca. I’m drawn to the textures here—carved stone, smooth water, dense forest—and the way the mood shifts with the seasons, from bright greens in summer to deep reds and golds in fall.

Each image is a way of holding onto those simple, grounded moments: standing at the base of a waterfall, looking out over a lake at sunset, or walking through a town where the nearest trailhead is never far away. Explore the Finger Lakes gallery to find the views that resonate with you—whether you’re revisiting a favorite trip, planning your first visit, or looking for wall art that brings a calm, upstate New York feel into your space.
